I am photographing plants throughout their life cycle. I am watching them constantly metamorphose as they sprout, grow, mature, and die. Photographing plants is a way to photograph change over time. These photos were taken close up and are intended to give an illusion of ambiguity; they are influenced by Arcimboldo. For
example, potato and its roots could also be a heart with veins and arteries, while roots may be a lock of hair or the curves of a stream winding its way to the sea.
